Le Jules Verne Restaurant The Jules Verne Restaurant is located on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower and has its own private elevator access from the south pillar. The food is extremely good and deserves its prestigious Michelin star for excellence in food quality, creativity, service and atmosphere but one of the best things about it is the view out over Paris. Besides being named after the French author who wrote '20,000 Leagues under the Sea' and 'Around the World in 80 Days', the restaurant is famous in its own right and for being featured in the 1985 James Bond movie 'A View to a Kill'. The prices are not cheap but the restaurant offers a reasonable three course set menu for 55 euro (and when you consider you are getting a free elevator ride up, this is pretty good for the experience) - if you order a la carte expect to pay at least this for any one item though and there is no cheap French wine on the carte a vin.
